A VOW OF TEARS THE VOWS Book 1 eBook Jill H O'Bones
This was an innovative story of two sisters and their differences. Sara worships the Goddess and gets her strength from her Wiccan faith. She is attacked and bitten, her son taken. Her quest to find him and the vampires she meets along the way make for interesting and exciting reading. I really liked it and plan to read the rest of the series. I would recommend this book to anyone that has read a lot of vampire books and wants something with a fresh perspective.Product details

A VOW OF TEARS THE VOWS Book 1 eBook Jill H O'Bones Reviews
A really good story brought about with a fresh idea. This book is not the normal for this genre and it's a really good read.
Interesting plot, good characters, could've been a bit longer. It starts a bit slow as you get background info on the main character but the pace ramps up quickly once you've got that down. I read it in a couple of hours and liked it enough to grab the second book.
The story line is okay, but reminds me of Connie Suttle in style. The plot moves along at a good pace and keeps your interest. My reason for the three stars is due to the Wiccan influence, I feel the book could hold its own without the Wiccan prayers. I think I will take a pass on the sequels.
The author really pulled you into the characters from the beginning till the end. Unlike most thrillers, there were no weird love twist and the story gave lots of non stop action in every chapter without being repetitive. I was up all night reading this story, and I look forward to more in the series, as well as from this author.
This is a pretty good book. I would like to know how everything turned out, but I won't buy two more books to find out. There should be different terms separating series with stand alone books and books that leave a reader hanging. All three books of this series should have been combined to make one book.
Although this is the first book in a 3 book series I have read all 3. I couldn't stop! After reading this first one I immediately downloaded the second and as soon as I finished that I downloaded and read the 3rd and final one. Yes it is one you won't be able to put down! The adventure and suspense, taking care of family and the hate between sisters and love for an enemy all bring these three books to an ending I wasn't expecting and had me in tears. Both happy and sad.
But too short. The beginning was awkward, but as the plot progressed I found myself becoming involved in the story.
The characters' personalities were developed reasonably well; but I had a problem with the romantic interest between a mature half-vampire woman who was trying to rescue her teenage son, and a male vampire who she knew was planning on killing her. Really? Just saying.
Not a drastic cliff hanger, but enough so that it teases me to consider getting the next book. I'm giving it 3-1/2 stars because I'm a sucker for Vampires. And Motherly Love.
